Kari Finley, Ph.D., Bridget Hanson, Ph.D., Jay Otto, M.S., and Kelly Green, M.P.A. with the Center for Health and Safety Culture (CHSC) at Montana State University completed the final report for a project entitled Understanding Aggressive Driving and Ways to Reduce It – Phase 1 for the Traffic Safety Culture Transportation Pooled Fund led by Montana Department of Transportation. This project explored how aggressive driving is defined, what factors precipitated such behaviors, and what strategies may prevent and reduce the incidence of aggressive driving behaviors. In addition to the final report, a resource document was developed for traffic safety professionals that provides an overview of strategies transportation agencies can use to address aggressive driving. The final report and resources document can be found at https://www.mdt.mt.gov/research/projects/trafficsafety-ad.aspx.
