Samantha Pinzl, MPH, CHES

Research Scientist

Samantha Pinzl is a Research Scientist at the Center for Health and Safety Culture and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Public Health from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Samantha has a passion for local community prevention work. In her role at the Center, Samantha supports grant activities, leads in outreach & education efforts, and trains communities and organizations in the Positive Culture Framework as a support trainer. 

Samantha has over five years of experience working for a county health department as a public health educator where she facilitated various community coalitions working to prevent adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and promote healthy eating and active living. She also has experience in tobacco prevention and control programming. Samantha has led community prevention efforts to increase walkability and pedestrian safety.

Samantha was born and raised in Wisconsin but now works remotely from her home in North Carolina.  Her husband is on active duty in the United States Navy. She enjoys trips home to northern Wisconsin and exploring the east coast with her husband and their three young children.
