Dr. Brandon Scott’s research aims to disentangle the relations between anxiety and emotion regulation in youth across multiple levels of analysis, including psychosocially and physiologically. Taking a developmental psychopathology perspective, he is particularly interested in exploring (1) the ways this relation changes (or is stable) from childhood into adolescence, (2) how individual and contextual factors influence this relation across development and (3) how certain emotion regulation mechanisms related to problematic anxiety affect socio-cognitive competences and health outcomes.
